Brides to be, maid of honors, bridesmaids, and friends - this post is for you! I think we can all agree one of the most exciting wedding planning events is the Bachelorette Party. Let's talk about how you can elevate the entire experience, making it one you won't forget.
My girls threw me an epic beach bachelorette in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. In this blog, I'm going to share the essentials - from bathing suits and outfits, to party decor and more.
DESTINATION
I knew I wanted to bach in Fort Lauderdale when my husband and I first vacationed there together back in 2018. We weren't even engaged yet and I remember thinking, "Wow - what a time I would have here with my girlfriends!"
When I envision vacation, I imagine sitting my tanned ass in a beach chair or floating in a pool with an ice cold drink...or four. I knew this would be an awesome spot that my girls and I would enjoy. If you think like me, you're my kinda people.
When it came down to planning, all I did was tell my maid of honor (my sister) where I wanted to go, and where I wanted to stay. Being that I had previously traveled to Fort Lauderdale, I kind of had an idea of the area in which I thought would be a great place to safely stay for a long weekend.
After looking around for a bit, we ended up finding a beautiful house right on the beach with a pool in a residential area on VRBO.
We stayed Thursday to Sunday, a long weekend was just the right amount of time.
Here's the house: https://www.vrbo.com/596344
DECOR
FLOATIES
My girls absolutely knocked it out of the park with the party decor. My personal favorite was my ring floatie. Every bride to be needs one! I loved that I was able to take it home with me, too!
PS - If you do plan on bringing floaties, PLEASE make sure to pack a mini air-pump. I'm not saying that we almost completely exhausted ourselves taking turns blowing up 8 or 9 floaties, but I'm also not saying we didn't....
The pool was also filled with these adorable glitter filled floaties below, which were a huge hit too!
Remember, the air pump!!!! You'll seriously thank me later.
BALLOONS
Bach That Ass Up! The theme was very fitting for me, those who know me may agree.
How adorable are these rose gold balloon letters?! And the life sized champ bottle! It really amped up the bachelorette element inside our beachy themed house. Balloons are a must have for any celebration!
In addition to the Bach That Ass Up balloons, the girls also had my bedroom set up with more rose gold glitter filled clear balloons, and rose gold lettering that said Bride To Be! So cute!
CHEERS BITCHES
To add to the theme, we also had these rose gold re-useable bachelorette cups. They were actually perfect for drinks in the pool! I think most people usually ditch their red solo cups after a few re-fills, but we washed these and ended up using them the entire weekend. They come in a pack of 16 - one that says Future Mrs. and the rest say Cheers Bitches. Loved these!
DRINK POUCHES
Now these were a hit! I ordered these drink pouches for our boat day. To customize them a little further, I put all of the girl's names on them with the Cricut - but not just their names, their nicknames that I have for each of them! I also added my wedding hashtag underneath their nicknames to keep it fun.
Just look how cute they came out! I displayed them on our first day there with matching bathing suits - I'll get into those a little later. Don't forget your straws!
OUTFITS
THE DRESS
Alright ladiiiiies! The best part! I LIVE for a good outfit... I mean down to the exact shade of nude shoes (the girls that get it, get it).
Typically, brides wear white on their bachelorette parties, right? WRONG. Nope not this bish - I went with my most favorite color of all, *pink*. Now don't get me wrong, I did wear white one night and on the boat day (the white bride bathing suit) but my main theme was pink. Let's take a look..

The friggin' dress was iconic. I wore the ultimate Barbie pink, strapless, ribbed, mesh dress. The thing fit like a glove. Lucky for you, it's still in stock! I'll link it down below.
I let the dress do the talking and paired it with a tight slicked back bun, big hoops, and patent leather nude heels. It's definitely in my top 5 favorite looks ever.
OH! Let's not forget this absolutely unforgettable bag...
This bag. This hot pink acrylic purse are what Barbie Bride dreams are MADE OF. It was given to me by my amazing co-workers in a little pre-bachelorette gift goodie bag. I am OBSESSED. And a little sad that I can't relive this entire look over again.
BIKINIS/SWIMWEAR
While on the theme of pink, let's talk about this metallic pink bikini. It was actually more of a rose gold champagny color, but I loved it! And the best part about this specific bikini is that it's not labeled "Bride" so I'll definitely wear it again. 10/10!
Of course every bride to be also needs a classic "Bride" one piece bathing suit. I paired this adorable swimsuit with mesh white cover-up pants. Did I also mention they are high waisted? So comfy and very bride-like.
THE VISORS
NOW...let's talk about these VISORS! The visors, the visorssss - I am telling you guys... these visors were SENSATIONAL. Huge shout out to my sister-in-law for surprising us with these. She had each girl's name put on the visor to personalize them.
Not only were they one of the best fashion accessories I've ever worn, but they actually did serve their purpose! Ha! These visors saved all of us from extreme drunken facial sunburn on our boat day.
If you saw me deathly hungover in FLL airport the Sunday traveling home wearing this visor, no you didn't.
I really thought I was the shit wearing this thing.
THE BOOTY VEIL
Maybe you're a tutu kinda gal, maybe not. I was for one day, and one day only. And I loved it.
I knew I had to get this booty veil to go with my white bride swimsuit the moment I saw it. And while I'll never ever wear it again, yes, it was absolutely necessary. Duh.
Mrs. Primavera, the ribbon said. Just in case anyone forgot who this ass truly belongs to.
GOOD EATS
RESTAURANTS
There is absolutely nothing more I love than eating and drinking. Well, actually a few things - or a couple. Which one means less again?
Going to the highest rated, raved about restaurants and bars is always important to my husband and I. We're foodies, it's just what we do. I knew I wanted to experience the same kind of dining on my bach party.
If you ever find yourself in Fort Laudy, be sure to check out these places:
COCONUTS Guys just go. Get a bunch of everything to share but DO NOT, DO NOT forget to order the "Scoobies". Holy shit I'm literally salivating right now just writing about it. Blue crab fried in oil with lots, and lots of garlic. Need I say more? Probably not - but you know what I will. The scoobies are served with most of the crab shell removed, so it's much less work. It's like eating a crab lollipop.
CASABLANCA CAFE What's better than live music while enjoying a fabulous meal? This place has got it all. They serve a phenomenal cevice dish, and a hella good Espresso Martini. Yesssss, please!
SANDBAR GRILL
This is your go-to breakfast or brunch spot. It is literally right on the beach, and the view of the ocean waves breaking against the beach is nothing short of breathtaking. We ate our first day there, right after checking into our VRBO. I ordered the best crab eggs benedict that I've ever had in my life - like orgasmic good.
Our waitress was the sweetest Brooklyn native who had been living in Florida for the past 15 years or so, and was kind enough to give us an entire bottle of champagne on the house!
I'll never forget you Jackie, or the buzz I had walking back to the house with my toes in the sand. Ahhh, what I would do to be there right now.

EL VEZ Margaritas, anyone?! Oh helllll yea, if you're looking for a well made marg in Fort Laudy, this is the place. Again, another incredible spot with a view of the entire horizon. Yes, and yes! It's conveniently located on the main strip - so walking back to your hotel or taking a 5 minute Uber is no problem at all.
TO END IT
If you're considering Ft. Lauderdale for your bachelorette, girls trip, or just a fun mini vacation - GO! You'll have the time of your life!
XOXO, LIA
